To be identified (probable Caspian gull...)
This is my first post in this forum, so I have to briefly introduce my self first. My name is Alessandro, my job has nothing to do with gulls but I am in love with nature photography. I am really a beginner, so I am not an expert in birds' identification, that's why I am asking for your help (actually I was addressed by Menotti to this forum...).
The photo above was taken over the sea, few miles in front of the Po Delta. My uncertainty concerns the possibility that this gull belong to the Larus cachinnans species, because of the shape and color of the bill, and also because of its head's shape. However, I am not sure. Does someone of you have an idea of its exact identification?
Thank you all in advance.
Bye.
Alessandro
